If you get a chance of watching a game of Craps, stop and listen to the noise! Craps is very exciting and players are usually not afraid to show their emotions. This is a fast moving game at all times, and can be very loud! It is also intimidating to new players. Craps has a complex structure to it and if you do not learn the basics of the game, you might end up with a headache. However, with time this game is easy to understand and you will become sufficiently good enough to play Craps at any online or land based casino.
The Puck
The puck is placed on the top of the table. If the game has not yet started, the puck will be black. If the game has started, it will be white on top of the table.
The Player
The reality of Craps is that there is only one player in the game. The player is known as the shooter. There are people surrounding the player at the Craps table, these people are called the bettors. Each time the player throws, the bettors are there to place their bets in accordance with the throw.
The Craps Game
The so called player will roll out the dice, this is the sign that the game has begun. The first time the dice is rolled, it is called the ‘come out roll’. During the first roll of the dice, if the outcome is a 7 or 11, the shooter will win automatically. The dice will remain with the shooter and they will do another come out roll. If the dice rolls out 12, 3 or 2 during the first roll, the shooter will lose the game of Craps. The shooter continues to keep the dice and do the next roll. However, if the values do not represent 11, 7, 12, 3 or 2 the table will turn showing the color white, which means the Craps game, is currently on!
When the shooter rolls out his dice, he will place the puck to the value that corresponds to the outcome. For instance, if the outcome value is 9, the shooter will place the puck which has a 9 on it. Now, 9 will be called the point. For the better, the last number that would get you a win would be number 7. However, if number 7 appears in the first instance, you would lose and the shooter would win. |
